Living on fire.
Does anybody here know the first 5 words every Bible begins with...?
«In the beginning God created...» (Genesis 1:1)
God created not only the whole Universe
but also ALL that's in it, including you and me.
"In the beginning God created..."
Adam and Eve, the first human souls, lived thus in a perfect world.
They lived carefree
They didn’t have to
work to get everything their
heart could desire.
God provided them with everything.
But then, they "screwed up" and left us in a real mess...
Everyone knows the story with the apple and the
serpent: Adam and Eve disobeyed God,
and because of that they broke up with Him.
They were suddenly "sinners": They could suddenly
do, say, and think evil things, exactly like you and me,
and all the souls that come
We’ve broken up with God
and are now accursed:
We live with worries, even fears.
We suffer illnesses. We must work
to get our daily bread and we’ll
even die (that too!).
God would really love it, if you wanted to return to Him. Because He made you and therefore He loves you alot.
He would love to see you back in
Paradise with Him when you die here on earth.
And He has an exact plan to that purpose:
God loves you so much, that He sent His Son down here
When Jesus died on the Cross,
he took up upon him all your sins and
evil deeds that you’ve ever done…
…in order for you to have an eternal life back in
Paradise together with God.
» Jesus wants to take up all our wrongdoings during this life
and will present you and me flawless and perfect to His Father in heaven when we die,
as if we had never done, said or thought anything wrong.
That’s the Good News of God’s mercy on you.
«For God loved the world so much, that He gave
His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes
in him will not perish but have eternal life.»
Not quite. Listen carefully now. Jesus said...
«I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.
No one can come to the Father except through me.»
He’s therefore God’s anointed Saviour for the whole
mankind. No other can bring us back to God. Only the Son of God, the promised Christ, the mighty Saviour and your stairway to heaven: Jesus of Nazareth.
God wants to have you back.At this very moment, Jesus is waiting by your side ready to lay his friendly hand on your shoulder.
You just have to say to him: "Yes! I want to go into a love
relationship with you".
If you've read this until here,
Jesus might be right now calling you become his disciple...
(from Matthew 11)
«Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened.
And I’ll give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me
(in the New Testament)
For I won’t disstress you and I don’t look down
And you’ll find rest for your soul.
For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.»
You talk everyday with Jesus.
Christians call it "prayer".
And what do you say to Jesus when you talk
intimately with him? Only two things:
-THANK YOU! Thank you, Jesus, for my
family, that I can right now enjoy this tasty
drink, that today this or that event made me
(Saying thank you to Jesus every day is nothing
else than the secret of happiness!)
-PLEASE! Please my dear Jesus,
in your powerful Name, solve this or that thing
that’s troubling me in my life right now.
Or, at least, make that I don’t worry about it at all,
(because I trust You and know that everything is going
to be all right).
We should also give God the opportunity to
"talk back" to us by reading the Bible.
As a disciple of Jesus, you’ll want to know his
teachings and life in order to:
» become free from your sins
and worries by imitating him, and
» experience that “inner
peace that no one can explain with words” which the Bible
Open the New Testament now and begin to learn from it!
You're now a disciple of Jesus.
I don’t represent any particular church.
Dear brother, go to worship God wherever you like...
Just be careful that you find there real, loving brothers
and sisters instead of the usual "lukewarm Christians" who just go to church
on Sundays but forget their relationship with Jesus the
rest of the week and mind only about their worldly business.
Just in case you wonder, here's where I go:
